There are an estimated 4.5 million people in the US who have Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. More than half of these patients continue to live at home, relying on family and friends for care. In fact, most Alzheimer's patients-particularly those in the early and middle stages of the illness-can be cared for at home instead of at nursing homes or other facilities.
Let us help you and your loved one. Our Dementia Specialists are specially trained by our Director of Education who not only holds a Master’s Degree in Education, but is also Certified by the Alzheimer’s Association.
To start, we schedule a complimentary care conference with a nurse supervisor to ensure your loved one receives a customized care plan. The daily regimen takes into account their environment and special needs, thereby making daily life less difficult and stressful. The customized care plan will include:
-Use of techniques that minimize stresses that can aggravate the symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
-Daily orientation to time, place, person
-Continuity of daily routines and schedule
-Continued social activities and involvement as they enjoy and are able.
-Making sure their home environment is safe & appropriate ensuring their freedom to move about in familiar and unrestricted space
-Supervision of daily activities
